Recycling: Managing Solid Wastes
In our continuous search for more environmentally friendly processes, we have established a management policy based on the concept of:
Reduce: This step is applied in the process of searching for and acquiring products that are sustainable, that use less packaging, and/or are made with materials that are recycled, recyclable, or that have less impact on the environment, such as:
- Lighter-weight bottles.
Less plastic wrap in packaging.
Reuse: This refers to the use of those waste products that may be used again in their original form with the goal of extending the useful life of the product or wrapper to postpone its final disposal.
Wine barrels that are no longer used in the winery are used to collect recyclable materials.
Recycle: Refers to the use of waste as a raw material that will be transformed into another product.
VIU MANENT has a recycling campaign for glass through CODEF, which takes 100% of the broken glass generated in our operations. We also dispose of cardboard by recycling it through the SOREPA company.
